2. User Accounts

When you create an account with us, you must provide accurate and complete information.

You are responsible for:

Maintaining the security of your account and password
All activities that occur under your account
Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use

3. User Types and Responsibilities

Customers

Browse and purchase products from vendors
Book services from artisans
Provide honest reviews and ratings
Complete payments for orders and services

Vendors

List products accurately with correct descriptions and pricing
Fulfill orders in a timely manner
Maintain product quality and authenticity
Comply with subscription requirements
Handle customer inquiries professionally

Artisans

Provide accurate service descriptions and pricing
Complete verification process (KYC)
Deliver services as described
Maintain professional standards
Respond to service requests promptly

4. Prohibited Activities

You agree not to:

Use the platform for any illegal purposes
Post false, misleading, or fraudulent content
Infringe on intellectual property rights
Harass, abuse, or harm other users
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the platform
Engage in price manipulation or unfair practices
Create multiple accounts to circumvent restrictions

5. Payments and Fees

Platform Commission: VAST charges a commission on completed transactions.

Vendor Subscriptions: Vendors must maintain an active subscription to list products.

Payment Processing: All payments are processed securely through Paystack.

Refunds: Refund policies are subject to individual vendor/artisan terms and platform guidelines.

6. Content Ownership and License

You retain ownership of content you post on VAST. However, by posting content, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute your content on the platform.

VAST reserves the right to remove any content that violates these terms or is deemed inappropriate.

7. Verification and KYC

Artisans and vendors may be required to complete identity verification (KYC) to access certain features.

Verification tiers include:

VAST Verified: Basic identity verification
Certification Verified: Professional credentials verified
Review Verified: Verified through customer reviews

8. Dispute Resolution

In case of disputes between users, VAST will act as a mediator to facilitate resolution.

Users agree to first attempt to resolve disputes through our customer support before pursuing legal action.

9. Limitation of Liability

VAST acts as a platform connecting buyers and sellers. We are not responsible for:

Quality of products or services provided by vendors/artisans
Disputes between users
Loss or damage resulting from transactions
Interruptions or errors in service

10. Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or engage in fraudulent activities.

Users may delete their accounts at any time through the app settings or by submitting a deletion request.

Account Deletion

To permanently delete your account and all associated data, you can submit a deletion request. Your account will be deactivated immediately and permanently deleted after a 7-day grace period.

11. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Users will be notified of significant changes through the app. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
